The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) and the Liberia National Police (LNP) have launched stronger collaboration in the fight against crime following a first-of-its-kind strategic coordination meeting held Thursday, April 2, 2026, at LDEA Headquarters in Sinkor.— Hon. The meeting brought together LDEA commanders and LNP Zone Commanders from Montserrado County, the LNP delegation was led by ACP Prince Cessell, Commander of the Montserrado Police detachment, to deepen strategic operational coordination between the two security institutions.
In his opening remarks, LDEA Officer-in-Charge DCP Biago welcomed the commanders and emphasized unity and operational cooperation, stressing that both agencies share the same mission of protecting the Liberian people. He commended the deputy OIC for Operation, ACP Patrick Kormazu (U-702) and Ma'am Facia Carter (U-704 )for organizing the historic initiative and urged stronger coordination with no room for competition.
The objective of the gathering is to foster collaboration and enhance a closer communication platform to strengthen information sharing.
As a major outcome of the meeting, LDEA officers will now join LNP patrol teams, marking a new era of joint security operations in Montserrado County.
